KEY PROPERTIES
DESIGNED FOR LIGHTWEIGHT
Due to high stillness and compression strength, ceramic parts can be designed to have a light weight design. This increases the complexity of parts, which is not favored with traditional manufacturing processes. With ceramic AM, there are no issues with light weight design.
SPATIAL OPTICS
The support for satellite mirrors require very high stability in dimensions. Ceramic materials have low thermal expansion coefficient and high stiffness, and make them the ideal group of material for spatial optics.
